My name is Alia, and I'm a 25-year-old fine artist and professional in the global oil industry.
I paint because I love to capture human beings in their element, I like to explore my feelings at their core, and share my feelings in ways words can't. I learned at a young age that your soul's creativity is something that can never be taken away from you.
It is yours to share. My art captures reasons I wake up every day.

Fatima and Alia's biggest influence, advocate for creativity, and inspiration for this company is their grandmother, Ma.
Rooh Afza "Ma" Zaidi
(1940-2017)
Rooh Afza means
"that which nourishes the soul."
​
Commonly known by her family as Ma. She was always imparting her wisdom to her grandchildren. Ma would engage in long discussions with her grandchildren about partition, feminism in Islam, and the practicalities of life. When she emigrated from Lahore, Pakistan to Toronto, Canada, she opened a seamstress business with a friend and fellow immigrant from Tehran, Iran.

by fearlessly leading her family as they navigated their way through western society.

Her entrepreneurial spirit
inspired Alia and Fatima to start Zaidi Design Co.
